Archangel Gabriel

“I am Gabriel, who stand in the presence of God; and I was sent to speak to you, and to bring you this good news.” Luke 1:19

In this passage, the Archangel Gabriel is speaking to Zechariah, announcing that his wife Elizabeth would bear him a son, John, who will become John the Baptist. The angel Gabriel is traditionally shown wearing a green outer robe and a red inner robe.
